Glasgow-based rapper Bemz and Aberdeen producer Vagrant Real Estate tease the first of a number of forthcoming anticipated collaborations.



Drill is still very much in its infancy in Scotland and these two apprentices have applied its archetypal swagger and attitude to ‘Coldest Winter Freestyle’ and taken it in a new direction. Vagrant Real Estate takes his signature soul-sampling, melodious influence and places a fresh stamp on the track’s production. Meanwhile, Bemz moves outside of his hip-hop comfort zone and illustrates a diversity in licks and spits that further showcases his versatility. The result is a reflective look back at a year like no other for this generation. Its deeply compelling musical arrangement is further amplified and overlaid by the relentless lyrical questioning of an often hypocritical and unforgiving society.
